Calling all peanut butter lovers, this bacon peanut butter burger is something I could literally eat for the rest of my life! Put extra sliced bacon and sauce for visual effect, just do it properly in practice. For a more aesthetically pleasing look add some greens like lettuce leaves to look a little more coordinated.
Ingredients:
1 pound of 80/20 ground beef
3 slices American cheese
3 loaves of Brioche bread
Ingredients for making bacon jam:
250g bacon
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/2 diced yellow onion
1 cup grape jam
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup brown sugar
Ingredients for peanut butter:
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
1 clove of garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger
1/4 cup water (add more as needed to achieve desired consistency)
Chopped peanut kernels and chopped cilantro (optional)
Steps:
1.Seasoning the burgers with your favourite BBQ ingredients (optional)
2.To make bacon jam, chopping up half a pound of bacon then frying it.
3.Removing bacon as soon as it gets crispy during frying and frying 1/2 diced onion for about 5 minutes. Adding 2 tablespoons of pickled jalapenos, 1 cup of grape jam, 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar, 1/4 cup of honey, 1/4 cup of brown sugar and cooking for 5-10 minutes until thickened.
4.Grilling the burgers over direct heat until they reach the desired doneness, then move to indirect heat, add the American cheese and let it melt.
5.Just assemble the burger with the patty, grape bacon jam and 1-2 tablespoons of peanut butter.
